Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.

Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.

The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Author Guidelines
The One Health Journal publishes the results of fundamental research and studies with novelty features on the issues on human and veterinary medicine, applied biology, biotechnology, bioengineering and biosafety. The journal publishes original articles and literature reviews which have not been published before. The articles are sent for confidential reviewing by a leading specialist in the relevant sphere. If a positive review has been received, a scientific editor will obligatorily read the article confidentially. The articles are submitted and publishing in Ukrainian or English, translated in the editorial office free of charge and published in English only; the abstracts are published both in English and Ukrainian. The electronic version of the journal (https://onehealthjournal.org.ua) will contain the full text of the articles in Ukrainian and English.
Each article has its DOI, which promotes accurate dissemination of the materials in the Internet.

Please, be advised that the Copyright Assignment Agreement shall come into force after the article has been accepted for publication. If your article has been rejected by the editorial board, the agreement shall automatically become void. If the author (authors) has (have) signed the agreement, it means that they have read and accepted the conditions of the Agreement;

The article in doc, docx (pfd is not accepted) – please, name the file using the surname of the first author of the article in English, for instance, Gerilovych.doc; illustrations; tables.
The article should contain the following parts:

UDC index;
-
title of the article in Ukrainian and English;
-
surnames and initials of all the authors in two languages;
-
name and street address(es), including postal codes, of the institutions(s) where the author(s) works (work) in two languages;

e-mail addresses of all the authors, having indicated the author for communication with an asterisk.
Structured abstracts in English and Ukrainian should be identical in their content (each at least 1800 symbols with spaces).

The sentences from the article sections should not be mechanically copied into the abstract, they have to be rephrased. The abstract has to present the key points of submitted article of scientific paper. This is your advertisement, it will be read by multiple readers in different scientific databases– thus it should be lucid, comprehensive and fulfilled by the sense of submitting paper.
Introduction. The analysis of the current status of the scientific aspect or your research. Each fact should be referenced with several sources from world scientific literature. In addition to the “aim” (do not repeat the article title), the last paragraph of the introduction should contain the formulation of your vision of the final result (hypothesis of the study) of your research and the statement, saying whether this hypothesis(es) have been confirmed.
Materials and Methods. Three main criteria: replication, methods of laboratory analysis, methods of statistical processing (do not use Student's criterion and the method of the least significant difference). The content of this section should be sufficient to repeat your investigation completely. Used methods should be adequate to aim and tasks of study. In many experimental works, this section may take a big part of the article’s text. If you work with biological objects, the local ethics committee should approve the program of your investigations. This fact should be indicated in Materials and Methods section of your article.
Results. The clear and complete description of the main results of your own research.
Discussion. Comparing your achievements against those of the main research achievements in this field. Here you cannot present any “new” data which have not been specified in the Results section.
Note! These two sections should obligatorily be separated.
Conclusions. Were all the hypotheses of this work confirmed in the light of new information, obtained in this work? What are the perspectives of further studies? Do not rephrase Discussion section here.
Adherence to ethical principles. A mandatory section for articles, placed prior to the list of references.

Specify all the sources of financing the work of each participant and the whole team of authors;

Specify the information about the conflicts of interests;

Specify the information about compliance with standards of working with animals;
-
Specify the information about the studies, which involve the participation of humans as study subjects.
While referring to grants in the Support section, it is necessary to specify the fund, the name of the grant and/or its number.
Tables should be titled and numbered. References to tables in the text should correspond to their ordinal numbers. The notes to the tables should be placed directly under them. All the abbreviations should be deciphered.
The illustrations in full colour or in black and white, in one of the standard formats − .xls; .cdr; .tif; .jpg – should be precise, “vivid”, numbered with ordinal numbers, referenced in the text, the legends should be laconic and clear.
We ask you to pay particular attention to the list of references. All the references should be present in the Internet. DOI (if available) is a mandatory element of the list of used references.

In the test reference are marked without numeration, if format (name, year).
It is prohibited to use your “own” translation – the titles of the articles from the periodicals should correspond to the abstracts in English, published in the periodicals with the indication of the language of the initial publication in the translated publication. The names of publishing houses should be transliterated, if the journal is not translated – its title should also be transliterated.
At least half of used references should be the publications for 5 recent years, your own publications may take not more than 5 % of all the references, you may have maximum several sources of “gray literature” (without DOI indices). It is inadmissible to reference hyperlinks, synopses of theses, monographs, materials of congresses and conferences, and work-related materials (DSTU). You may reference Internet-resources only if the relevant source has DOI. It is preferable to cite the sources, published after 2010 (if it is not regulated by the conditions of the presented work).
Note! Only one source self-citation is allowed as the exclusion
After receiving the review, stating the need to readjust the article, the author should obligatorily write an explanatory letter to the reviewer and highlight the places, corrected in the text of the article, with a different colour.
The articles, published in the journal, become the property of the journal. Separate copies of the articles may be reproduced in the electronic or printed form to be used for educational or training purposes. The introduction of articles into other publications, electronic sources or systematic large-scale dissemination may be performed only on preliminary consent of the editorial office of One Health Journal in the electronic or written form.
Note! The articles, completed against these rules, will be rejected without registration and consideration.
Copyright Notice

The Author renders to the Institute exclusive rights of property gratis to use the article hereinafter "the Article", in any form and by any means, as well as the exclusive right of property to permit or prohibit the use hereof by the third parties, in any form and by any means.

Since the moment of signing the present Agreement (on conditions that the Article is accepted for publication) the Publisher possesses the exclusive right to edit, adapt and modify, to translate into any language, to reproduce and publish, as well as to distribute the Article in unrestricted number of copies in any form and format at any media and in any way.

This assignment of Author’s right would be realized during the full term of the copyright validity as concerning the Article and would be valid on the territory of all countries of the world.

The Publisher accrues the right to transmit and license freely the rights got according to this Agreement to the other institutions and persons.

All copies of the Article, both hard and soft, should contain the Publisher's copyright information (© One Health Insitute, NGO) and the complete bibliographic reference to the Article.

In case if the typescript copy of the Article is declined by the Publisher within eighteen months (which is reported to the Author in written form), or recalled by the Author before acceptance for publication, this Agreement will become null and void, while the copyright assignment will be terminated

The Publisher confirms the reservation for the Author of the following rights:
· the patent rights, rights of commercial description and the right of any processes, substances, materials and methods described in the Article;
· the rights of making various copies, including soft ones, for his own use or personal use by the colleagues of the Author on conditions that the copies of the Article will not be used for sale, for systemic distribution by means of mass delivery via e-mail, as well as it will not be located at a public server;
· the right of the subsequent use of the whole Article or its parts in reviews, dissertations, books, lectures. -
The Author guarantees that the present Article has not been published earlier and will not be published wherever before its publication by the Publisher, and that its copyright has not been rendered to other publishers.

The Author guarantees that the present Article is an original work of the Author and is not a copy of any other work. The Author guarantees that he has obtained all the necessary permissions to use in his Article the materials protected with the copyright.

The Author guarantees that the utilization by the Publisher of the copyright gained as by the present Agreement will not entail the infringement of the copyright of some other persons and organizations and will not divulge secret or confidential information, as well as the present Article is not an in-house document, i.e., it is not created in the course of official duties of the Author or official assignment given by the employer.

The effect of this Agreement unregulated in every respect by this Agreement is regulated by the current legislation of Ukraine.

All amendments, annexes, certificates and reports are drawn up in writing by the Parties and signed by authorized representatives of the Parties.
