MONITORING OF CONTAMINANTS CHEMICAL AND BIOLOGICAL ORIGIN IN FEED FOR PRODUCTIVE AND NON- PRODUCT ANIMALS IN 2021 IN UKRAINE

Today, the ecosystem is a source of dangerous factors of both chemical and biological origin due to the development of industry, urbanization and the uncontrolled use of pesticides. This, in turn, leads to the accumulation of xenobiotics in feed, their entry into the body of animals and food products of animal origin, which ultimately poses a threat to human health. In this regard, control and monitoring of the content of pesticides, heavy metals, radionuclides and other toxicants in feed is relevant. State monitoring of feed is an important task for veterinary medicine. It is carried out on the basis of a risk assessment in order to control compliance with the requirements of current legislation regarding the safety and suitability of the product, as well as to prevent the circulation of dangerous feed. According to the State Monitoring Plan for 2021, the State Research Institute for Laboratory Diagnostics and Veterinary Sanitary Expertise conducted a laboratory analysis of feed safety indicators for productive and non-productive animals from different regions of Ukraine. The results of monitoring studies provided information on the level of contamination of feed with pesticides, mycotoxins, heavy metals, radionuclides and pathogenic microorganisms. The non-compliance of some feed samples with safety requirements due to the presence of mycotoxins was established. In view of this, measures aimed at preventing risks to animal and human health related both to feed directly and to the environment, ensuring the release of quality products and preventing the transition to the human body of toxic substances in quantities exceeding hygienic norms and pose a threat to health.References
