Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of a retrospective analysis of outbreaks of transboundary infectious diseases of animals and birds based on scientific literature sources and materials from the WOAH (OIE) and Pro Med databases. The epizootic situation that has developed in the world over the past 7–15 years regarding African horse sickness, African swine fever, Middle East respiratory syndrome, swine vesicular disease, vesicular stomatitis, sheep and goat pox, Rift Valley fever, hemorrhagic contagious nodular dermatitis, catarrhal disease is covered. sheep (bluetongue), classical swine fever, contagious pleuropneumonia of cattle, Newcastle disease, peste des petits ruminants, foot-and-mouth disease. The need to control these diseases has been proven, because they cause significant damage to international trade due to loss of trust between trading partners, threaten food production due to shortfalls in livestock products and the risk of diseases in humans due to the zoonotic potential of the latter.
