The paper presents the results of a study of the virucidal efficacy of the biocidal agent "Tetrasept", the main active ingredients of which are glyoxalic aldehyde and glutaric aldehyde. The study was conducted in accordance with national and international guidelines for characterizing the virucidal properties of disinfectants. The toxicity of the biocidal agent "Tetrasept" was studied under conditions of protein loading in a rabbit kidney cell culture model (RK-13). The study of the virucidal efficacy of the biocidal agent "Tetrasept" was carried out under conditions of protein load on the model of the field strain of parvovirus "Antey". Toxicity and virucidal activity of "Tetrasept" were determined for working concentrations of 1.0%, 0.75%, 0.5%, 0.25%, 0.125% and 0.06%, 0.03% at exposure of 30 and 60 minutes, respectively.
The results of the study showed that the biocidal agent "Tetrasept" is non-toxic to the transplanted cell cultures at concentrations of 0.125%, 0.06% and 0.03%, but has a weakly expressed virucidal effect. The disinfectant has 100% virucidal effect against the field strain of parvovirus at concentrations of 0.25% at exposure for 30 and 60 minutes at protein load, which indicates high virucidal activity of the biocidal agent "Tetrasept". Concentrations of 0.5 %, 0.75 % and 1.0 % have a toxic effect on cell culture.
